Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is to bring gamers what THEY want in the quickest and most efficient manner possible. We put the spotlight on MMO games equally, which means that a single MMO won’t receive most of the spotlight. This is our “equal opportunity” press release system. We will try to promote any game you have as quickly as we can so users can see what news and events you have.
We also believe in having a family-friendly community. We are committed to bringing out individualized forums for games that players love. If there is game forum you want, let us know and we’ll add it! At MMOCraze, we’ve seen it….spammers, flamers, etc. We want everyone to be able to effectively communicate and interact with each other on a level in which they will have a fun and enjoyable experience discussing their favorite MMO games.
We want everyone to hear about the site so if you are a webmaster who owns a gaming site, let us know and we can exchange links. If you are a game publisher or developer, let us know so we can promote your game on our site.
In September of 2011 (which I believe is the 1 year anniversary for MMOCraze), MMOCraze went into a transition that caused the entire site to drop into hiatus for a temporary period that lasted midway from September 2011 to the the beginning of January of 2012. Several things caused this hiatus to happen. Quite simply, an attempt to redesign the site and improve the site’s overall SEO and functionality took longer than expected and the site started losing traffic and we were forced to shut the site down while we sat down and pondered what we wanted to do with the site. Several things came to mind about what to do with the site. Eventually, after 4 months, we came to a resolution and went into the steady of process of quickly and efficiently bringing the site back up. The site came back up around December of 2011 and operations started back up in January. The site is now back and up-to-speed starting February 2012. There are a lot of differences between the site now and how the site was back in September. Our overall goal is to make the site eye-catching, easy to navigate, and useful to users. Err…scuse me, that’s cliche…doesn’t every MMO media site say that? As you can see, we no longer have forums. We want to be different (we might add forums again when the site gets bigger). We have one mission to accomplish with this site and as the years go by and I look back at this About page that I am editing right now, that mission is to do what many other MMO news sites have yet to do: provide a family-friendly user experience in the world of f2p MMO gaming where every game is welcome. We aren’t affected by the influence of the mass media. Every game deserves a chance in the spotlight. Why else would a game developer or game publisher spend so much time and effort on a game? Visioneers in the MMO gaming experience. That’s who we are.
